Truly African. Natural burial.
What is natural burial?
Part of the landscape.
At Zilkaats, natural burial means a loved one’s resting place becomes part of the land itself. We encourage a simple headstone complementing the natural burial setting in its surrounding landscape.
Simple headstone
A simple headstone is encouraged, complementing the natural burial setting in its surrounding landscape.
Indigenous tree
Planting an indigenous tree as a living memorial allows a family to mark a loved one's resting place in a way that becomes part of the landscape.
Eco-urn and tree
A family may mark a resting place with an eco-urn and a tree, allowing a loved one's memory to grow into the landscape.
Lifetime maintenance
Every plot includes the lifetime maintenance of the burial grounds, so the estate stays as well cared for, and as beautiful, for generations to come.
Crematorium — in planning
Crematorium facilities are currently in planning and not yet operational. Further details will be announced shortly.
