The Estate
Part of the land itself.
Zilkaats Estate brings together conservation, cultural custom and modern security within a single protected landscape, so a loved one’s resting place becomes part of the land itself rather than a plot in a conventional cemetery.
This is a truly African natural burial estate, built around honouring legacy and cultural tradition in a setting of real natural beauty.
Conservation
Preserving nature. Honouring lives.
Indigenous trees stand across the estate, small buck move through the grass at dusk, and hundreds of bird species call Zilkaats home.
Security
Truly secure.
Every family who chooses Zilkaats does so with the certainty that their loved one rests somewhere truly secure.
Access to the estate is controlled at a single, guarded entrance with 24/7 security patrol, and every family member receives their own access card, so only those who belong are ever on the grounds.
Planned facilities
Crematorium — in planning.
Crematorium facilities are currently in planning at Zilkaats, with further details to be announced shortly. They are not yet operational.
The allocated area will include walls of remembrance set within a natural forest, built around zero emissions and eco-friendly systems, with resting facilities and walkways designed for a peaceful, reflective experience.
